God has asked His people to pray. He challenged His disciples, “could you not keep watch with Me for one hour.” Prayer is part of the spiritual armor God has given to us. Jesus told us to pray so that we would not fall into temptation. Prayer is communicating with God. We are encouraged to ask, seek, and knock on the doors of heaven. The church must learn to pray if we are going to experience the power of God in our lives and in our community. (Ephesians 6:18)

 
Matthew 26:40
And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour? NASU                                         




Luke 22:46
and said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation." NASU

This Watchman Prayer Guide is intended to help you learn to pray in a regular and consistent manner. As Jesus admonished His disciples in Matthew 26 for not being able to "watch and pray with me one hour," we encourage believers to set aside time for prayer in one hour increments.
